A Notting Hill re-make

— June 15th, 2010

This five-storey house in a Notting Hill Conservation Area, now nearing Completion, has been the subject of a comprehensive and high-quality refurbishment and re-construction. The building has also been extended at the two lower floors to create a modern-open plan interior with high quality fixtures and fittings.

Natural walnut and oak wood finishes contrast with high gloss lacquered fittings. Full height timber doors either slide into wall recesses or fold back into wall pockets to create a clean-lined and simple interior.

The scheme incorporates a three-storey spiral staircase as a key design feature.

The design also incorporates terraced areas, one occupying the entire roof of the property, and the other formed by a walk-on glass roof at ground floor level.
