Keys to the City

– 15th August 2014

We are delighted to be part of this annual festival celebrating architecture across the capital.  Now in its twenty-second year, the festival provides an exciting opportunity to explore buildings not normally open to the public – from private homes to government buildings.

This year, we are proud to support Finton House School as it opens the doors of The Emma Thornton Building to the public.  This recently completed building answers a common issue facing Londoners – lack of space – and shows how, even in a constricted urban site, it is possible to create light-filled and airy spaces underground.

Staff will be on hand to describe how the new building has enhanced the life of the school and the project’s architectural team will be on site to answer any design or technical queries.

The building will be open on Saturday 20 September, from 10am-2pm, and is fully accessible.  No booking necessary. For further information on other buildings open to the public during the weekend, visit Open House or follow on Facebook & Twitter
